Produced in the United States, the M1 Abrams main battle tank is a heavily armored and highly mobile tank designed for modern ground warfare. It utilizes a powerful gas turbine engine, advanced composite armor and ammo storage in the blowout compartment for added crew safety. Available in three versions – the M1, M1A1 and M1A2 – it's the principal combat tank for the U.S. Army and Marines, as well as the armies of Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Australia.
