7/22/2009 Curtiss-Wright Controls Signs License Agreement with Boeing to Manufacture and Sell Airplane Spare Parts

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – July 22, 2009 – Curtiss-Wright Controls Inc., the Motion Control segment
of Curtiss-Wright Corporation, has entered into a data license with The Boeing Company
allowing the use of detail engineering design to obtain Parts Manufacturing Authority (PMA) for
replacement flight control spare parts. The license will permit Curtiss-Wright Controls to
manufacture licensed PMA parts under the company’s FAA-approved quality system and
distribute directly to operators.
 
Curtiss-Wright Controls supplies flight control and utility actuation products to many Boeing
aircraft in service today, including the 737, 747, 757, 767 and 777 platforms. The company
manufactures and services Boeing flight control and utility actuation products at its facilities in
Shelby and Gastonia, N.C.
 
“The manufacture of PMA-approved flight control and utility actuation spare parts is consistent
with Curtiss-Wright Controls’ position as a trusted supplier for all Boeing commercial aircraft
